One of the biggest bands in the world will wrap up their 50th anniversary tour in South Philly this June.

The Rolling Stones’ “50 and Counting” tour will wrap up at the Wells Fargo Center on June 18.

The Philly show wraps up a stint of nine shows announced Wednesday.

“Philadelphia and the Rolling Stones have a long history together and it’s been almost eight years since they played here,” said Global Spectrum’s Matt Homan, General Manager at Wells Fargo Center.  “I know our fans can’t wait for them to return.”

Singer Mick Jagger and guitarist Keith Richards both turn 70 this year but that’s not stopping them from rocking.

“‘50 And Counting’ has been pretty amazing so far,” Jagger said in a press release from Comcast-Spectacor. “We did a few shows in London and New York last year…and had such a good time that we thought…let’s do some more.”

Joining Jagger, Richards, drummer Charlie Watts and guitarist Ronnie Wood on the tour will be former Stones guitarist Mick Taylor, the band announced.

Tickets to the concert certainly won’t be cheap but that likely won’t stop the show from selling out. On sale dates and more info will be released soon at WellsFargoCenterPhilly.com, said promoters.
