    The day after Christmas is one of the biggest shopping days of the year as people rush to area stores and malls to use those gift cards they just got or return a gift that they didn't want.

    Dec. 26 also marks some major sales at all types of stores so check those circulars or store websites before you go. Here is a list of some post-Christmas sales and coupon highlights.

    As for when the shopping begins, many area malls across our region will be opening earlier and possibly staying open later to give people all day to shop.
