The Philadelphia Eagles may be heading into the 2014 season with questions about their defense, but nobody is questioning whether owner Jeffrey Lurie made a good investment when he bought the team for a reported $185 million 20 years ago.
In its annual report on National Football Team values, Forbes ranked the Eagles seventh with a team value of $1.75 billion. In 2013, the team had revenues of $330 million and an operating income estimated at $73 million.
The Eagles also ranked seventh in 2013, when Forbes estimated the team’s value at $1.3 billion.
