The Pharoah has landed in the Garden State.

Triple Crown winner American Pharoah arrived in South Jersey ahead of the Haskell Invitational.

A custom-designed plane -- with plenty of hay and water on board -- carrying the horse landed at Atlantic City International Airport Wednesday afternoon. The horse took about 20 seconds to walk down a ramp and onto a trailer for the 90-minute ride to Monmouth Park.

American Pharoah will receive a police escort from the airport to the track in Oceanport. The horse will remain at Monmouth Park until Sunday's running of the $1.75 million Haskell.

In boosting the purse, track president Bob Kulina calls the Haskell a next logical step for 3-year-olds after the Triple Crown. Kulina thanks American Pharoah owner Ahmed Zayat and trainer Bob Baffert for bringing the horse to New Jersey.

A record crowd nearing 60,000 is expected for the Haskell and organizers don't plan to cap attendance.

American Pharoah swept the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont Stakes to become the first Triple Crown winner in 37 years.
