Jon Stewart: “Hilary Rosen Just Made the Republican Party Pro-Choice!”

The Comedy Central late-night host uncovered rich irony in the debate over the so-called "War on Moms."

On Monday's edition of "The Daily Show," Jon Stewart found rich irony in the ongoing debate over the "War on Moms."

Stewart played a clip of Ann Romney on Fox News in which the wife of the presumptive GOP presidential nominee said: "My career choice was to be a mother—and I think all of us need to know that we need to respect choices that women make."

Stewart threw up his hands and exclaimed, in reference to the film "Gladiator": "Are you not entertained?"

"Hilary Rosen [the Democratic strategist who said Mrs. Romney "never worked a day in her life"] just made the Republican Party pro-choice!"

"Cats are dogs! Black is white!" Stewart joked.

Stewart later quipped that support for stay-at-home mothers is probably the one position Mitt Romney hasn't changed over the course of his political career.

Or so one might think. Stewart has the smoking gun that proves that assumption wrong.
