Glenn Beck Exiting Fox

You won't have Glenn Beck to kick around anymore. Well, actually you will. But you won't have "Glenn Beck" to kick around anymore.

The controversial host has decided to end his self-titled Fox News Channel program - which debuted in 2009 - later this year, although no specific end date has been announced.

Fox News and Mercury Radio Arts released a statement saying the network and Beck will "work together to develop and produce a variety of television projects for air on the Fox News Channel as well as content for other platforms including Fox News’ digital properties."

The announcement is not a surprise, seeing as former Fox News Senior Vice President Joel Cheatwood announced back in March that he was going to leave the network to join Beck's media company.

Beck's web site "The Blaze" posted the Fox official statement, but the announcement has since been removed.
