Jimmy Fallon Predicted “SNL” Hosting Gig A Decade Ago

The host of “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” announced Tuesday via Twitter that he’ll once again be gracing studio 8H, something he oddly predicted back in 1998.

Jimmy Fallon, aside from being a successful late-night host, might also consider a career as a medium.

The host of “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” announced Tuesday via Twitter that he’ll once again be gracing studio 8H, something he oddly predicted back in 1998.

““I’m trying to find words … Dec. 17th!!! SNL!!!” he tweeted.

Over a decade ago, Alec Baldwin was (again) hosting “SNL,” but was worried he couldn’t live up to expectations—past hosting gigs had, after all, won some Emmys. Cue something out of a Charles Dickens novel: Jimmy Fallon comes onstage as the Ghost of Hosts Future and magically transports Baldwin to 2011, where Fallon is hosting in a silver vest and tight pants.

“Apparently, I’ve become a huge star in the future,” a young Fallon tells Baldwin.

We’re glad that Alec saw the true responsibility of hosting the show so Fallon won’t have to say things like, “I was so scared that I nearly took a Baldwin in my pants.”

(We’ll forgive Fallon for being off a few days—he predicted Dec. 12, when the actual date is the 17th.)
