Rocco on Mom Madonna: “She's Strict But in a Good Way”

Popstar and son appear on "Ellen," talk touring together and what happened when Madonna "flashed" audience.

Madonna makes an extended stop on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and her son Rocco (whose been performing with mom as part of her "MDNA" tour) gets a little more than he bargained for when the television host brings him onstage.

During the hour-long interview (set to air Monday, Oct. 29) DeGeneres calls on Madonna to nominate a person to participate in a charity "dunk tank" on behalf of the host's efforts to raise money for breast cancer. "I don’t really have to think about it," responds Madonna. "My son (Rocco) is here and I want him in that tank…"

Before 12-year-old Rocco (whose dad is Madonna's ex-husband Guy Ritchie) takes his position, DeGeneres checks in with him about life with with mom, onstage and off.

"What do you do in the show?" DeGeneres asks. "I dance," Rocco replies.

"Is your mother strict? Is she a good mother?" DeGeneres continues. "Um, Yeah, she’s a good mother but yeah, yeah," he says.

"But she’s what?" chimes in Madonna. To which the soft-spoken Rocco replies, "She’s a good mother. Yes. That’s all I have to say. She’s very strict but in a good way."

"How cool. You’re on tour with your mother. She can’t be that strict," says DeGeneres. "What about when she flashed herself and stuff. How do you feel about that?"

"I actually don’t see that," a visibly embarrassed Rocco replies. "He’s underneath the stage busy, doing things," Madonna explains.

"Good. That’s best," adds DeGeneres before the tween takes his place in the tank. Watch the full clip below.
