MTV to Livestream 55-Hour Dance Party

MTV hopes to break a Guinness World Record by holding the longest dance party...EVER.

Think of the longest dance party you’ve been to. And then add 50 hours.

MTV hopes to break a Guinness World Record by holding the longest dance party—a staggering 55 hours. They'll also stream it live through their website.

The dance session will attempt to knock the previous record (made in Ireland in 2006) out of the water.

According to The Associated Press, the boogey session will be a featured part of MTV’s O Music Awards, and promote awareness for issues surrounding LGBT youths.

Chiddy of rapping duo Chiddy Bang was featured in the first incarnation of the OMAs back in April, breaking a world record for longest freestyle rap.

Both the awards show and the dance party will be held in Los Angeles, starting Oct. 29 and running until Halloween. The two will be held at different locations.

We just hope everyone have supportive footwear.
