Katie Holmes won't be shopping for Manolo Blahniks and throwing back cosmos with Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda anytime soon.

On Friday, Britain's The Sun claimed that producers of the movie want Katie to play "a really ballsy, high-powered company executive who tangles with Samantha."

A rep for the brunette actress, however, told Access Hollywood there is "no truth" to the report.

"Sex" star Sarah Jessica Parker's rep also told Access there was "no truth" to the story.

Katie might not be joining NYC's most glam gal group, but producers are a looking for a slew of non-speaking people for background roles in the movie.

Grant Wilfley Casting will hold an open casting call on August 4 at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York for "fashion models, celebrity types, upscale socialites, urban clubgoers, gays and lesbians, international types (Middle Eastern, Arabic, Asian, European, British), [and] professional soccer players."
