David Arquette Backs Off “Nervous Breakdown” Remarks

That's just jokes, folks!

On December 16, actor David Arquette was forced to back off comments he made during a recent appearance on the Howard Stern Show in which he said that he was having a "nervous breakdown" in response to a question from the shock jock, reports US Magazine.

"It is being reported that I'm having a Nervous Breakdown," he wrote on his Twitter page. "I assure you am not. This stemmed from a joke I made on The Howard Stern Show and like many things in the Media it was mis-reported and sensationalized."

Arquette also told Stern that he'd "been drinking a lot" since his split with wife Courtney Cox in October.

"I always speak my mind and I really don't care what people that don't know me may say," he wrote. "I'm a good person with a huge heart. I thank those that have been on my side during this rough time," he posted to Twitter.
