The comedy series will end next month after being on the air for 22 years. Joel McHale will host the final episode of the series on December 18.

"We are incredibly proud of the long-running success of 'The Soup,'" says Jeff Olde, EVP of Programming & Development for E! "'The Soup' has delivered countless laughs and unforgettable episodes, and we are grateful to the talented team's fearless wit and clever approach week after week. Hardcore fans of the show might remember that McHale wasn't the first host of the show. Greg Kinnear hosted the series when it premiered as "Talk Soup" in 1991 until 1995. After that, John Henson hosted the show from 1995-1999, Hal Sparks from 1999-2000 and Aisha Tyler from 2001-2002.

In 2004 the show was re-launched as "The Soup" with McHale as its host.

Watch "The Soup" every Friday at 10 p.m., only on E! and then watch the series finale on Dec. 18 at 10 p.m.
