WWE Star Jack Swagger Arrested For Speeding, Marijuana Possession and DUI

Former World Champion is expected in court on March 12.

Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger was arrested late Tuesday night in Gulfport, Mississippi for speeding, misdemeanor marijuana possession and DUI, according to The Sun Herald.

Swagger, whose real name is Donald Jacob "Jake" Hager Jr., had finished performing on WWE Smackdown just two hours earlier in Biloxi at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum when he was pulled over by police. His car was then towed and he was released from police custody to a friend.

If convicted, the 6-foot-7, 260-pound Swagger faces $1,925 in fines and could lose his driver's license for 90 days. Swagger court appearance is scheduled for March 12. All of the charges were misdemeanors.

Swagger, 30, will face current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio at Wrestlemania 29 this April.

For the first part of his career, Swagger was billed as "The All-American American," a gifted, but narcissistic athlete who beat his opponents in a variety of ways, including a diving powerbomb and an ankle lock. After a six-month hiatus, Swagger returned in early January with longer hair and a beard, under the guise of a man who's main goal is to keep immigrants out of the United States. As a part of his character repackage, his signature ankle lock was also renamed, "The Patriot Lock."

This past week on Monday Night RAW, Swagger and his manager Zeb Colter issued their own "State of the Union Address," where they voiced their displeasure over several goverment immigration policies.

In a company statement, the WWE said "Mr. Swagger is responsible for his own personal actions."
