Paris Jackson Hospitalized

Michael Jackson's only daughter was transported to hospital early Wednesday morning, according to Katherine Jackson's attorney.

Paris Jackson, the 15-year-old daughter of the late pop icon Michael Jackson, was hospitalized early Wednesday morning in Los Angeles, according to her grandmother’s attorney, Michael Koskoff.

Los Angeles County Fire Department Inspector Scott Miller told NBC News that his department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call in the 25000 block of Prado De La Felicidad in the city of Calabasas. The call came in as “a possible overdose,” Miller said. A patient was then transported to a nearby hospital.

Miller said he could not say who lives in the house where the call came from, but it is known that the Jacksons own a residence on the same block.

Lawyer Koskoff is representing Katherine Jackson in the wrongful death trial of Michael Jackson. He told NBC News that his client would not be in court Wednesday. It is expected that Paris and her brother Prince, 16, will testify during the trial, but were not scheduled to appear this week.

Katherine Jackson is suing global show promoter AEG Live, claiming it failed to properly investigate the physician convicted of administering an overdose of the anesthetic propofol to her son.

Kevin Boyle, another attorney for Katherine Jackson, said in a statement: "Being a sensitive 15-year-old is difficult no matter who you are," Kevin Boyle, an attorney for Katherine Jackson, said in a statement. "It is especially difficult when you lose the person closest to you. Paris is physically fine and is getting appropriate medical attention. Please respect her privacy and the family's privacy."
