WATCH: Principal Announces Snow Day With “Let It Go” Parody

A Rhode Island principal decided to get creative with his school's snow day announcement.

Matt Glendinning, the head of Moses Brown School in Providence, announced the school’s closure with a parody of “Let it Go,” the signature song from Disney's 2013 animated film “Frozen.”

"The snow glows white on Route 95, not a tire track to be seen," Glendinning sings. "We could make you come to school, but that would just be mean.”

The video for “Let it Snow” contains green-screened shots of snow-covered streets as well as costumes — a lot of production that would have been difficult to conduct in the blizzard that caused eight states to make emergency declarations and canceled 7,000 flights Monday and Tuesday.

However, it was completed days before the extreme weather system battered the Northeast corridor.

"Sunday morning we saw the weather report," Adam Olenn, the school’s director of communications, said to Boston's WBUR radio, "and we said, 'Oh, we've got to get this done.'"

The video took "a week, week and a half" to shoot, with the final scenes shot last Friday ahead of the blizzard, Olenn said.

Also, “Today” reported that Glendinning is not singing in the video -- it's actually school choir director, Justin Peters.

Either way, enjoy the parody in the video above.
