Zach Galifianakis and Jimmy Fallon tried to make plans to hang out, but couldn't seem to make it work.

"The Hangover” star stopped by "The Tonight Show" Monday and chatted with Jimmy about being a new father, working as a nanny, and his latest movie “Birdman.”

But as a pre-show clip showed, the two comedians really wanted to schedule a hang out session. They soon discovered just how difficult it could be to coordinate schedules.

Like most Americans, Galifianakis and Fallon are kept busy juggling career and family. But they also had a few things on their schedules that most of us never have to worry about.

This week, Galifianakis was supposed to take his fish to a shrink, stare at a wall, and alphabetize his testicles. Fallon has to cut his hair then let it grow back out. Later he has to ride an elephant.

“You have to?” asked Galifianakis.

“Don’t ask,” Fallon responded.
