Chris Brown Postpones Tour After Judge Denies His Travel Request

The delay comes after Brown's probation was revoked by a Los Angeles judge.

Chris Brown is staying put in California — for now, at least.

The 25-year-old "Autumn Leaves" rapper announced Monday that he is being forced to postpone his "Between the Sheets" tour with Kendrick Lamar, which was scheduled to kick off Tuesday at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia.

The 26-city tour would have taken the two across North America, with stops in Atlanta, Brooklyn, Detroit, Houston, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Nashville, New Orleans, Toronto and Washington, D.C., among other places. The final concert was scheduled to take place on March 8 at The Forum in Inglewood, California.

Brown broke the news to his fans via Instagram. "I would first like to apologize to all the fans and people who have been supporters of me and all the music over the years. The beginning of the BTS tour has been moved to later dates now. The judge would not sign off on my travel to do the tour until I finish these last 100 hours of community service," the "Autumn Leaves" singer explained. "I promise that I am busting my ass doing it everyday until it's complete. This is the most disappointing news I've gotten in a while. Everything happens for a reason so I wanted to personally inform my fans. The show must go on. Out of 1000 hours I only have 100 left. I will work my ass off to complete it and I will be on that stage. Once again I'm sorry for the delay. I love yall! We will let yall know the dates that are changed. It's not cancelled. Just moved around a couple weeks."

Rescheduled dates have yet to be announced, as they are contingent upon Brown's progress.

Earlier this month, Brown's probation was revoked by a Los Angeles judge for traveling without approval for a concert and failing to complete his 1,000 hours of community service on time. The singer is due back in court in March. If Brown is found guilty of violating his probation, it's possible he may serve time in jail.

In the meantime, Brown and Tyga are busy promoting Fan of a Fan: The Album, out Feb. 24.
