Celebs, Fans Pray for Tracy Morgan, Others Hurt in Crash

Comedy fans and Hollywood celebrities began voicing their love and support for Tracy Morgan as word spread that a Walmart tractor-trailer slammed into a limo bus Saturday, critically injuring the "Saturday Night Live"  alum and killing Morgan's mentor and fellow comedian James "Jimmy Mack" McNair.

Forty-five-year-old Morgan and 62-year-old McNair and five others, including fellow comedians Ardie Fuqua Jr. and Harris Staton, were heading northbound on the New Jersey Turnpike in a 2012 Mercedes Sprinter when a tractor-trailer struck the limo bus, according to officials.

The Mercedes spun and then turned on its side, skidding along the highway and striking four other vehicles, according to reports. The accident occurred about 15 miles north of Trenton near Exit 7A on the Turnpike, which is located in Cranbury, N.J.

Jeffrey Millea, of Shelton, Connecticut, and comedian Ardie Fuqua Jr. were listed in critical condition along with Morgan at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, hospital spokeswoman Zenaida Mendez said Sunday, The Associated Press repored. Another comedian, Harris Stanton, was treated and released from the hospital Saturday.

Two drivers, 44-year-old Tyrone Gail and another unidentifed man, suffered non-life threatening injuries and were treated and released, according to a spokesman for the limo operator, Atlantic Transportation Services.

The tractor-trailer driver, 35-year-old Kevin Roper, of Jonesboro, Georgia, is facing multiple charges for the fatal crash, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office.

As Morgan, Millea and Fuqua remain in the hospital, famous pals and their fans began sharing their concern for the injured comedians. The hashtag, #PrayForTracyMorgan, started to appear in Twitter feeds as the public learned of the serious accident.
