‘Fast And Furious' Revs Up For $30.2M Opening Day

"Fast And Furious" outraced the competition on Friday, taking in a whopping $30.2 million at the box office.

The film, which reunites the cast of 2001's "The Fast and The Furious," earned well over its expectations and is on track to pass $75 or even $80 million – leaving the previous April record holder, 2003's "Anger Management," in the dust. The Adam Sandler-Jack Nicholson face-off earned $42 million its opening weekend.
