‘Battlestar's' Jamie Bamber Bares It All For Bears

"Battlestar Galactica" star Jamie Bamber has battled Cylons as Captain Lee "Apollo" Adama for four seasons on the popular Sci-Fi Channel series – and now the actor is fighting to save Canadian Black Bears.

Appearing naked in a new ad for PETA, Jamie is hoping to call attention to the killing of Canadian Black Bears, which are used to make ceremonial caps worn by the Queen of England's Guard.

"The obvious alternative is to make caps out of faux fur. You know, use synthetic materials to avoid killing a beautiful animal," Jamie said in a statement released by PETA. "They're not to keep warm. It's not particularly freezing outside Buckingham Palace. You could wear something else. And you could certainly wear faux fur."

Jamie's PETA ad is not the first time the actor has gone without clothes. Fans of the show will fondly remember "Apollo's" infamous locker room scene, where the actor barely sported a towel.
