Travis Barker Back In Recording Studio

It has been almost three months since Travis Barker and DJ AM survived a plane that killed four people in South Carolina, but the former Blink-182 drummer is now back in the studio making music.

“I’m already playing my drums again and I’m already back in the studio,” Travis announced Sunday on MTV’s final episode of “TRL.”

“It was like riding a bike,” the 33-year-old said via satellite from his LA studio. “It was really exciting to know I still have my chops. It still felt good. I still can make it around the kit. Everything felt right, so I’m thankful to be able to play.”

As for any long-term affects from the crash, Travis said, “Every day gets better.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, DJ AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, is also successfully recovering from the crash.

Thanks to skin transplants from his scalp and hours in a hyperbaric chamber, DJ AM is successfully recuperating – and even recently performed with Jay-Z.

DJ AM made his professional return on October 15 alongside the hip-hop star at the Los Angeles Palladium.
