Tidbits: Law's Baby Could Mean Bucks for Burke

Other Tidbits: Another Transformers letter and Nas' possible reunion with Kelis

Though she claimed she had no interest in money or media attention, Jude Law’s ex-fling, mother-to-be Samantha Burke, now seems interested in both.

“When I found out I was pregnant … I didn’t jump for joy because I ‘hit the jack pot,’ ” Burke wrote in an August blog entry. “I cried my eyes out and started adjusting my future plans in my head. … Not once did I ever think about the money side of things. I thought about how I was going to be an amazing mother and that without a doubt is all that matters.”

But according to a report in the New York Post’s Page Six, the pregnant cocktail waitress had a change of heart and now believes money may matter after all, as she and her lawyers are busy shopping the rights to a tell-all interview and the very first photos of Law’s love child.

“Samantha is getting offers ranging up to $200,000,” a source revealed. “She will talk openly about her relationship with Jude — and he’s not getting rave reviews.”

Another open letter in the ‘Transformers’ feud
The twists and turns just keep coming in the ongoing “Transformers” feud. The off-screen action that previously focused on back-and-forth bad mouthing between star Megan Fox and director Michael Bay recently expanded to include a pack of anonymous crewmembers.

Those Bay-backers wrote an open letter bashing the “dumb-as-a-rock” actress, but now Team Fox has its own defender.

“First of all, I would like people to know (for those who are interested) the reason why I am writing this letter is to clear my name in any of this Ms. Fox bashing,” production assistant Anthony Steinhart wrote in a statement published in Entertainment Weekly. “I read the letter by the three unnamed crew people and was blown away by their description of Ms. Fox. Especially, since I am the one usually getting Ms. Fox at her trailer. I have personally never been nor ever witnessed Ms. Fox being rude or inconsiderate of people’s feelings or the work to be done.”

Throughout the lengthy missive, which praises Fox so effectively it could stand in as a fan club application, Steinhart addressed and refuted nearly every sling aimed the actress’s way, but eventually he admitted he wasn’t even familiar with Fox’s own public low-blows toward Bay, otherwise known as “the incident that incited the tasteless letter.”

Dish on fly
Against her better judgment, actress Maggie Gyllenhaal learned a few tricks of the trade on the set of “Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang” thanks to co-star Emma Thompson. “Early on, Emma gave me a couple of notes — and she’s not directing me, she’s acting with me!” Gyllenhaal confessed in Female First. “If some other actor started giving me notes I would tell them to f--k off — there is not one actor I would allow that from. But they were fantastic notes — clear and totally helpful. I just thought to myself, ‘She’s teaching me and I’d be an idiot not to accept it.’ And Emma’s what, 50? It would be silly of me not to acknowledge that she knows more than I do.” Hmm, that wasn’t one of those but-don’t-give-me-notes-next-time age swipes was it? … Could there really be reunion in the works for new parents and almost-exes Kelis and Nas? That’s the impression onlookers were left with after they spotted the previously embattled hip-hop pair appearing uncharacteristically cozy Monday night. “Nas and Kelis were celebrating his birthday with some friends and you couldn’t tell they were divorcing to look at them,” one witness revealed in a quote posted to Showbiz Spy. “They seemed very intimate and were kissing and hugging and even left together.”
