“We’ve just confirmed that Sarah Palin will appear on Saturday Night Live on Saturday,” Larry said as he talked to Bill Maher, who appeared as a guest on “Larry King Live.”

Much has been made about a reported Palin appearance ever since Fey’s spot-on spoof of the Alaska governor a few weeks ago.

And while Fey has received rave reviews for her impersonation, the comedienne recently told TV Guide she’s not looking forward to the prospect of doing it for four more years.

“We’re gonna take it week by week. If she wins, I’m done,” she told TV Guide. “I can’t do that for four years. And by ‘I’m done,’ I mean I’m leaving Earth.”

Still, Fey was appreciative of the comedic material this year’s election – and its candidates – have provided.

“Election time is always good for [SNL] and this is a bonkers election,” she said. “And that lady is a media star…. She is a fascinating person, she’s very likeable. She’s fun to play.”

In an earlier interview with “SNL Weekend Update” anchor Seth Meyers, he said they would love to have the politician make an appearance on the show.
