Portia De Rossi Slams IVF Rumors, Talks Upcoming ‘Ellen' Appearance

Portia de Rossi says she is not having in vitro fertilization in an attempt to get pregnant.

"There's a story around right now about me that could not be further from the truth," Portia told AccessHollywood.com's Laura Saltman on the set of "Better Off Ted," her new ABC comedy, which premieres March 18.

"The IVF story?" Laura asked.

"Yes," Portia confirmed. "That was just completely made up."

Portia said the IVF pregnancy rumors aren't new. In fact, she's used to the tales related to impending motherhood cropping up on a regular basis.

"The baby thing comes around annually," she told Laura. "I find… once a year, you know, whether I deny it or not… It doesn't make any difference."

One rumor Portia didn't deny during Laura's "Better Off Ted" set visit, was the one that the Aussie beauty was going to make an appearance on her wife's daytime talk show.

"I am," Portia said when Laura asked her about her "Ellen" appearance, set to occur in just a few weeks – her first time ever appearing on the show.

And though the two women have been coupled-up for some time, Portia admitted she is experiencing a little anxiety over her moment in Ellen's interview hot seat.

"Well, I don't know what she's gonna ask me! I mean, really on the spot. You know?" Portia laughed. "No, it'll be really fun!"

While Portia has an advantage over other guests with Ellen, she said she hasn't asked for any favors when it's time for the sit down interview.

"I just think whatever happens is gonna happen and it'll be fun," Portia smiled. "I think she'll go pretty easy on me."
