Stoya, the internationally-known adult film star who called Philly home, has headed West. But don't worry, you can still follow her every move -- in a non-stalker way of course -- because she is a tech nerd, according to Technically Philly.
South Philly's Stoya, (as she was dubbed by the City Paper last year) packed her bags for Los Angeles after the recent success of films like "Pirates 2." The move made sense for the high-demand actress -- the 22-year-old porn princess was catapulted into the national spotlight after being named the Best New Starlet at the 2009 AVN Adult Movie Awards. L.A. is pretty much ground zero for the adult film industry and Stoya also has an exclusive deal with porn behemoth Digital Playground, which is based just outside the City of Angels.
Stoya, who was raised in Delaware, has always had a thing for Philly. The independent (and apparently bright) Stoya graduated high school before she even turned 16 and would travel up to Philly because it was the nearest city, she said in an interview.
She moved around for some time but eventually settled back in Philly where on any given day you could have found her typing away on her laptop at a coffee shop. And that's the consolation prize. Even though L.A. lured Philly's porn angel away, she'll virtually always be here.
Fans can still follow her every move as she acclimates to her new home. But, be warned, things can get a bit racy when Stoya explains what she's doing right now.
So even though you won't catch her hanging out in the corner coffee shop, Stoya is physically, only a tweet away.
