Paris Hilton Evacuated After “Big Knife” Found on Plane

Hilton and boyfriend Cy Waits' flight reportedly has box-cutter onboard

Paris Hilton briefly found herself involved in another incident at an airport before being cleared for takeoff.

The 29-year-old heiress tweeted Tuesday that she and other passengers on a Maui-bound flight from LAX were told to evacuate moments before takeoff when a passenger discovered a “big knife” onboard.

“Scary that it got on plane,” she wrote.

A few minutes later the socialite reported security had finished sweeping the plane and she was set to board again.

According to TMZ, law enforcement sources said the flight's eagle-eyed passenger had found a “box-cutting knife” that belonged to a member of the airline crew.

Airline officials knew whose knife it was and did not contact police, the gossip site reported.

The incident marks the third time this year that Hilton has experienced unusual travel glitches at an airport.

In September, Hilton was denied entry to Japan when her flight landed at Tokyo’s Narita airport.

Immigration officials nixed Hilton’s planned business trip in the country on the grounds that hours earlier she’d been convicted of cocaine possession and another misdemeanor in the U.S.

Back in July, Hilton was reportedly breifly held by police on the French island of Corsica upon arrival. She was released without charges.
