Oksana to Mel: “Tell the Truth”

Mel Gibson’s ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva has called on the Oscar-winner to end a “smear campaign” alleging she extorted money from him.

"It is unfair that by standing up to somebody -- and speaking out -- I am being victimized all over again,” the 40-year-old Russian singer said in a video interview posted Friday by RadarOnline. "He has hurt so many people I feel like I am being victimized all over again."

Last weekend, Gibson met with Los Angeles investigators to discuss his claims that Grigorieva tried to blackmail him, cops said. According to TMZ, which first reported news of Gibson’s interview, the actor and his lawyer submitted text messages and emails to back up their extortion case.

The department is also investigating whether Gibson harmed Grigorieva in a Jan. 6 incident. The Russian singer and "Braveheart" star are also locked in a bitter custody dispute over their 8-month-old daughter Lucia.

Grigorieva, in being drawn into comment at what appeared to be a grocery store parking lot, claimed Gibson had “no proof” for his blackmail claims.

"I think Mel, basically, is trivializing domestic violence," she told Radar. “There is no proof of anything. It is all false information he is feeding the press. It is a smear campaign, clearly, to me."

Gibson should “speak the truth” for the sake of their daughter, she said.

Grigorieva also defended her decision to tape Gibson, which she said she did because “I didn’t think I was going to make it through the night.”

All the recordings that have hit the Internet that allegedly show Gibson berating her with sexist threats were from that single night, she said.

"The tapes, as you call them, the voicemails, everything was recorded that night because I was in fear for my life," she said. "I really did not think I was going to make it."
