The 28-year-old reality TV starlet debuted her shocking new look in New York over the weekend: She had lightened her signature long brunette locks.
"I'm loving my new blonde hair!" she gushed on her Twitter page.
But the buxom brunette's stunning new look -- photographed in New York over the weekend -- was a hoax.
"It's a wig!" she wrote on her blog today. "Did I have you fooled? I did a fabulous photo shoot this weekend and they put this hair piece on! I haven't taken it off since, because I'm really loving the look."
The curvaceous hottie first hinted that she changed up her look on her Twitter page.
"I have a drastic new look!" she wrote.
Several hours later she fessed up: "I went blonde!"
Kim's faux transformation came just a week after she was dubbed "plus-sized" celeb by US Weekly -- an allegation that had the curvy starlet fuming.
"For the record, I am a size 2, not a 2XL," she wrote on her blog. "I am a curvy girl and I love my curves, but curvy and plus-sized are two very different things."
