Kate Gosselin Stiffs Marriage Counselors $10K: Suit

Perhaps Kate thought marriage counseling payments depend on results?

Reality star and divorcee Kate Gosselin didn’t pay her marriage counselors, the president of the counseling company tells NBC Philadelphia.

Creative Energy Options -- the company that provided marriage counseling to Kate and Jon Gosselin in 2009 -- filed suit against the Pennsylvania resident March 28, claiming that Kate owes the company $10,476 for services rendered.

According to Dr. Sylvia LaFair, president of C.E.O., Kate Gosselin refused to pay for sessions and travel fees after she asked for one of the company’s therapists to fly to L.A. and counsel her and her former husband.

Kate and Jon Gosselin, stars of the TLC reality show “Jon and Kate Plus 8,” divorced in December 2009.

Lafair says her company notified Kate Gosselin several times of the overdue bill, but has yet to be paid.

"There are commitments that people make ... and they should be followed through," Lafair told TMZ.
