Kate Gosselin: Kids Have “Anger Issues,” Were Not Expelled

Tells "Today" they're being home-schooled "by mutual agreement"

Kate wants this straight: Two members of her brood have anger issues, but were NOT expelled from their school.

Gosselin, the original octomom, appeared on NBC's "Today" show, to once again shoot down reports from last month that children Collin and Alexis were booted from their Pennsylvania school for acting out. The appearance came days after she told Entertainment Tonight the same thing.

“That is false,” said Gosselin, who rose to fame as the matriarch on TLC's "Jon & Kate Plus 8," then made an ill-fated appearance on ABC's "Dancing with The Stars."

Gosselin admitted the kids, both six, are being home-schooled, but she insisted they were not expelled.

“They were having anger issues,” Gosselin said. “They were acting out, having behavior things. Things that are — I’ve talked to other moms going through divorces — very normal, normal stuff in that regard. So I did what I could do. (The school and I) mutually agreed. I brought them home. I have them with a private tutor, an early education teacher. She is teaching them one on one, and they are excelling, along with weekly therapy.

"[Collin] was upset and saying things out of frustration – he'd crumple his papers and throw them on the floor," Gosselin told People magazine. "Alexis was angry in a different way. She didn't want to sit still. She'd get up and want to run around."

But the kids' troubles are related to their parents' well-chronicled divorce, she said, not their mom's rigorous TV schedule, as ex-hubby (and newly employed?) Jon Gosselin has claimed.

“You know, I’m working while they’re by my side enjoying life and traveling, and that is not only providing us trips of a lifetime, but it’s providing for their future," she said. "I believe it wholeheartedly, as does the evidence that you see on TV, that it is in their best interest, and that it is something that is wonderful for them. And we would not be doing it if it wasn’t.”
