Hugh Hefner Addresses Carrie Prejean's Playboy Offer

Earlier this week, embattled beauty queen Carrie Prejean said she turned down a lucrative offer to appear in Playboy.

But as far as Playboy boss Hugh Hefner is concerned, the idea of a stripped down Prejean isn't off the table just yet.

"It's definitely a possibility," Hefner told Access Hollywood's Shaun Robinson, when asked if he'd be interested in having Prejean grace the pages of the magazine.

When it comes to the controversy surrounding the California blonde being dethroned, Hefner dismissed the idea Prejean was fired over her comments about same-sex marriage during the Miss USA pageant.

"She says that it is because of the comments she made about gay marriage. That's what she believes," Shaun told Hef.

"We know that isn't true," he replied. "It was a little bit taken out of context, because if you read what she really said, it was not as big as it sounded… Something else happened. I think she hasn't been showing up for some of her duties, I think."

But if she's ever to appear in Playboy, Hefner said Prejean would have to earn it.

"If she wanted to show up for Playboy, you wouldn't say no, right?" Shaun asked.

"She'd definitely do more than show up," he smiled.
