Glam Slam: Muscle Mamas

"It's very much a love/hate relationship," laughs celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson about her two famous clients Madonna and Gwyneth.

The results speak for themselves, both M & G rock killer bods. So we asked Tracy to share her tips for regular moms on-the-go.

"There aren't quick fixes. Even if you have to start with just 15 minutes a day that's fine," Tracy says. "The best advice that I can give is that you have to start somewhere."

TONED TUSH

Busy moms short on time can do this "even while waiting for your son at soccer practice," Tracy says. This works the butt AND the legs at the same time.

HOW TO: For butt lifts, start with both your hands on your hips, or if your balance isn't good, lean on something for support like a chair. Bend leg, lift it out to the side and then swing it back and then lower down behind the leg you are standing on. (Think of a dog lifting his leg at a fire hydrant!) Switch legs. "The key to something like this, especially if you have no time, is that you do as many reps as you can. You really can't overdo it," according to Tracy.

AWESOME ABS

"I do these little things called ab isolations," Tracy says, "and they are really unbelievable for getting certain sexy lines for women and not just crunching and getting the gym looking manly stomach."

HOW TO: Start with your hands on your hips and move your trunk from side to side. Think of a belly dancer for these moves - you are moving side to side from your rib cage area, NOT from the hips, which should stay still. Tracy suggests doing as many as 400 of them.

AMAZING ARMS

"Using your own arms as resistance can be such an amazing tool, you don't need anything. I like to do little arm circles, if you only have a little bit of time," Tracy says.

HOW TO: Hold your arms out straight to the side palms facing up. Then rotate the palms so they are facing down. Then circle back up. Do as many as you can - these will tone arms, not bulk them up. Madonna does these every day.
