"After experiencing some severe flu-like symptoms and not being in his hometown, Dennis went to the hospital for medical care," Maydew said in statement to Access Hollywood. "He was treated for dehydration and is now back in his hotel room and feeling much better. Dennis would like to thank everyone for their well wishes and he looks forward to getting back to work on 'Crash.'"

On Wednesday, a source told Access Hollywood that Hopper began feeling ill just before he was due to make a series of promotional appearances for the second season of his Starz television show, "Crash."

Hopper also canceled on several other NBC appearances including "Today" and "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon."

The iconic actor has starred in countless films during his lengthy career, including "Speed" with a young Sandra Bullock and the legendary "Easy Rider" with Jack Nicholson and Peter Fonda.
