Candy Spelling Claims Tori's Lack Of Calls Led To Aaron Spelling's Death

The battle of the Spelling family continued on Thursday when Candy Spelling blamed daughter Tori Spelling for her late husband's death during an interview on a Massachusetts radio station.

"My daughter one day decided that she wasn't speaking to my husband, myself and my son, and that's how it's continued for the last, oh gosh, four or five years," Candy told to 94.7 WMAS-FM's Kellogg Krew. "And it was sad. That's what killed my husband, actually. He just didn't want to live after that. He [had] just done everything he could possibly do for his daughter, and she wanted no part of him once he couldn't do anything for her."

During the interview, Candy went on to say she's made efforts to work on the ongoing feud with Tori.

"I've always been trying to work on the relationship," Candy said. "I don't know what the anger is."

After Candy's remarks suggesting Tori contributed to her father's death spread on various blogs and entertainment news Web sites, Candy responded to the media attention in a blog on The Huffington Post.

"I didn't intend to create headlines. I was asked a question about my daughter not speaking with my family, and I answered truthfully," Candy wrote. "My husband was very ill, and he had stopped eating and taking liquids. He called Tori on a daily basis, and never stopped asking if Tori had returned his call. We had to say no every day."

Adding, "I should have known better, but it is the truth."

When contacted by Access Hollywood, Tori had no comment.

As previously reported on Access Hollywood.com, the accusations first began in April when Candy told to Access' Billy Bush on "The Billy Bush Show" the feud with Tori had affected her ailing husband.

"Aaron and I never heard from her a year and a half before he died. She never saw him, actually she came to see him once, two weeks before he died. And he was so thrilled, because he called her every day and she never called him back," Candy told Billy. "She really broke his heart. She was the apple of his eye and once he really couldn't help her out in the business anymore, it just seemed like it was gone."

TV mogul Aaron Spelling died June 23, 2006 after suffering a stroke.
