Brooke Shields On The Future Of ‘Lipstick Jungle': ‘We Got The Most Out Of It Possible'

Despite the best efforts of "Lipstick Jungle" fans – which included sending tubes of lipstick to NBC – the series does not appear to ever be coming back.

In November, reports surfaced that the network was canceling the drama, but NBC Entertainment's co-chairman, Ben Silverman, quickly offered fans hope, telling the New York Times that the network was considering ordering more episodes, after seeing a pick-up in viewers in its Friday night time slot.

But when Access Hollywood caught up with series star Brooke Shields earlier this week, the actress explained that the future of her series looked grim.

"We're sad, you know," Brooke told Access. "But, it [would] be such a great [thing] to get the show picked up and get another season."

Despite the show's shaky future, Brooke said she looks back on the series with great admiration.

"It's been three years of just an amazing experience. The girls were incredible," she told Access. "We had a good chemistry and we were in New York, it was great!"

"I think we really we got the most out of it possible," she added.
