Britney's Youngest Son Hospitalized

Two-year-old Jayden James was admitted to a Louisiana hospital for "a reaction to something he ingested"

The youngest son of Britney Spears and Kevin Federline has been hospitalized for some kind of reaction but was expected to be discharged soon.

Two-year-old Jayden James was admitted to the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center on Sunday after having "a reaction to something he ingested," a representative for Spears' family said in a statement.

He is expected to be discharged on Tuesday, the statement said, signing off with "Get well soon, Jayden!"

The hospital is near Spears' home in Kentwood, La., where she was reportedly staying with family.

A source close to the family also told People Magazine that the toddler was faring well.

"He's doing fine," the source said. "They kept him overnight."

Jayden was taken to the hospital after suffering "a terrible allergic reaction. He had hives, was itchy and irritable," according to the source, who says that Britney Spears and her mother, Lynne, spent the night at the hospital the boy.

"They're just not sure" what caused the reaction, the magazine quoted the source as saying.

Spears and ex-husband Federline are also parents to 3-year-old Sean Preston.
