Brad Pitt, Family Donate $1 Million To Fight Cancer

Brad Pitt's brother, Doug, has announced a $1 million family donation to establish an endowment fund for cancer specialists at St. John's hospital in Springfield, Miss., the Springfield News-Leader reported.

According to the newspaper, Doug will be joined in making the donation by his wife, Lisa, brother Brad and his famous brood, sister Julie Neal and her husband, Rob.

The new center will be called the St. John's Jane Pitt Pediatric Cancer Center after their mother, Jane, and will open this summer.

It's the latest outreach by Brad and partner Angelina Jolie, whose Jolie-Pitt Foundation has raised millions of dollars for charitable causes.

Angelina will give back as well this week.

As first reported by AccessHollywood.com, the UN Goodwill Ambassador will join Anderson Cooper on CNN on Thursday for World Refugee Day.
