Ashley Olsen Talks Moving From Hollywood Stardom To New York Style Queen

Mary-Kate Olsen may still be a Hollywood mainstay with recent roles in "The Wackness," TV's "Samantha Who?" and "Weeds," but sister Ashley is focusing on fashion.

"I turned 18, I moved to New York, and I haven't really done anything since to be a celebrity," Ashley told the summer issue of VMAN Magazine, on newsstands now.

Instead, the 22-year-old star – who rose to fame with her twin as the adorable Michelle Tanner on "Full House" and later built the Olsen brand into a media empire – turned her attention to her clothing label, The Row.

"I've been transitioning from acting as a kid to doing something that I'm choosing for myself – to be a part of the fashion industry," she said. "That's what I want for my future."

Now, that future includes The Row's first men's line – and Ashley revealed what elements of a man's wardrobe she finds sexy.

"To touch a man who has a soft sweater on, a soft pant, a great jacket, or something that, as a woman, I want to take off him and put on and feel sexy in," she said.

The stylish star called the line "extremely masculine."

"It's for that 30-, 40-, 50-year-old who has a refined sense of self, but needs those basics and doesn't want to wear Tom Ford," Ashley said.

While Mary-Kate is still her partner in The Row, it's Ashley who's handling the day-to-day business.

"My sister still wants to focus on acting," she said. "She trusts me with the everyday. I mean, I see her like ten times a day."
