Anoop Desai: I Ain't Afraid Of No Ghost! – ‘Idol' House Haunted?

Anoop Desai, Lil Rounds and most recently, Matt Giraud, have all been exterminated by "American Idol" – and their chances at the title. But is the presence of someone else plucked from the world too soon running amuck in the contestant's mansion — is there an actual "Idol" ghost?

According to booted "Idol" Anoop, some of his fellow singing hopefuls believe there is a ghost haunting the nine-bedroom Bel Air mansion where the contestants live during the competition.

"Some people are convinced that there's a ghost there, especially Allison [Iraheta]," a skeptical Anoop told People. "But I've never really seen her."

Anoop said the ghost, who the "Idols" have named Phyllis, is "just a friendly troublemaker. She bangs around and keeps people awake. Allison hears something in her room every night. I don't know if someone's just creeping around in there or what."

Lil Rounds, who was voted off the same week as Anoop, told the mag she luckily escaped any paranormal shenanigans while in the Bel Air mansion.

"I've never had any encounters with Phyllis, and I'm glad I didn't, because I was in a room by myself, so I would've been totally freaked out," she explained.

"Allison said she lives in her room… she's heard growls. I was like, 'What?!' It's craziness," Lil said. "The rest of the girls swear they saw glimpses of her and different things like that, but I never saw it."

And what have Lil's former housemates seen when Phyllis makes an appearance? "Like a white shadow walking across the room. I'm like, 'Okay, you guys,'" she added.
