Worth the Trip: Philly PHLASH Shuttle Free Opening Weekend Tickets

If you're looking to experience all of Philadelphia's most awesome attractions, you're in luck because the Philly PHLASH shuttle is returning for its 2015 season on Thursday, April 23.

And this year, the shuttle service is welcoming its new season with free service through opening weekend -- Thursday, April 23 through Sunday, April 26.

The purple bus takes visitors and locals all the way from Benjamin Franklin Parkway near the renowned Philadelphia Museum of Art to the Philadelphia Zoo and the Please Touch Museum.

Other highlights include stops at the Penn's Landing, Eastern State Penitiary and the Barnes Foundation.

The PHLASH bus will operate daily from 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. until labor day and then Friday through Sunday from Sept. 11 through Nov. 22. The service returns to its daily schedule on Nov. 27 until Jan. 3.

Pickups are approximately every 15 mintues along the main route, and the Phildelphia Zoo and Please Touch Museum stops offer transfer loops every 15 minutes.

After free rides on opening weekend, the rate for the bus is $2 per ride and $5 for an all-day pass.
