Worth The Trip: Open Call Guerilla Outdoor Festival

Philadelphia’s lively street music scene captivates locals and tourists alike, and this year the Open Call Outdoor Performance Festival celebrates the city’s underground music movement.

The pedestrian tunnels under City Hall will become a stage for performing arts with artists performing a variety of works ranging from singing to dancing and drawing exhibitions.

Printed maps detailing locations for the planned spectacle will be distributed by SEPTA and provided throughout the concourse. For a list of performance locations, an online map is available here.

The underground street performance is organized by local artist Beth Heinly.

The festival commences Saturday, March 14, with performances held at various times between 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Admission is free for the entire event.
