Get Your Fill of More Than 65 Eateries at Outdoor Festival

Food… shopping… music… and it’s all outside.

Before Octoberfest events begin to take over your social calendar, the annual Chester County Restaurant Festival is coming to downtown West Chester to close out the summer season on Sunday.

More than 65 restaurants from Chester County will set up their tents and trucks on the city blocks and sell small plates of their most popular menu items.

Gay Street will be shut down between Matlack and Darlington streets, along with Market Street between Darlington and High streets.

Arts and crafts vendors will be selling their wares so people can do their two favorite things- shop and eat.

Maggie Moos Ice Cream, Cupcakes Gourmet, and Popcorn Obsession are just a few of the specialty food vendors people can check out at the event.

The festival will also feature a beer and wine garden located near Gay and Church streets.

Several bands will play throughout the day for people to enjoy on Gay and Matlack St, Gay and Church St. and Market and Darlington St.

For the under-21 crowd there is Jr's Soda Shoppe truck where people can get their fill and refill of old fashioned sodas once they pay for the mug.

All of the restaurants that participate in the festival are also competing for the “Dish People’s Choice Awards” hosted by TheTownDish.com where festival-goers can vote for their favorite eatery.

A full list of restaurants and specialty food vendors setting up shop can be found on the festival’s website.

The event is free admission but the borough charges $5 if you park in one of the garages.

The event kicks off Sunday at noon and goes until 5:30.
