Bring Your Hearses, Flower Cars, Limos 7 More to Annual Professional Car Show at Philadelphia Cemetery

A car show with a taste for the macabre is coming to a Philadelphia cemetery this weekend.

Laurel Hill Cemetery will host the Seventh Annual Professional Car Show Saturday, Aug. 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event, put on by the Mohnton Professional Car Club, welcomes all professional cars and fans thereof.

If you are interested in hearses, flower cars, limousines and ambulances, according to the MPCC's Facebook page, "you should probably be there."

The event is free (but donations to the cemetery are encouraged) to attend and will feature live music from Video Massacre and Somebody's Circus. Dan T. Wienerman and Son's Hot Dogs will serve hot dogs, sodas, water and "maybe other stuff."

Rain or shine, this car show will go on. If you plan on bringing your own vehicle, be sure to preregister.

Laurel Hill Cemetery is notable for being the final resting place of many famous Philadelphians, including broadcast legend Harry Kalas and gunsmith Henry Deringer. You can visit their graves while you take in the car show.
