Last week, we speculated that the embattled production of "Two and a Half Men" could easily continue on post-Charlie Sheen with a quick casting change.

Well, our words may have reached some powerful ears. Or this is just a huge coincidence. We're going with the first option, just 'cause.

Rumors are circulating through E! Online that CBS chief Les Moonves has been chatting up John Stamos as a possible replacement for Sheen. An unnamed "source" claims to have seen Moonves and Stamos chatting in a bar, and that Moonves' plan involved Stamos playing a new character, not Sheen's. But, you know, be liberal with that salt when approaching this story.

But the rumor spread fast enough that Stamos had to quickly shoot it down via Twitter, writing "Contrary to the rumors, I am not replacing Charlie Sheen on 'Two and a Half Men.' However, Martin Sheen has asked me to be his son."

TMZ confronted Sheen with the story, and the troubled actor was quick to snipe, ""If they do that then they deserve their failures and the follies."

If either David Arquette or Ted McGinley are spotted anywhere near Moonves, we're officially taking credit.
