Now You, Too, Can Try Schweddy Balls

Monty Python had their own flavor, Stephen Colbert had his own flavor, hell, even Jimmy Fallon had his own flavor.

Now it's time for Pete Schweddy.

For those who don't know, Pete Schweddy was a character played by Alec Baldwin in a couple of "Saturday Night Live" sketches years ago (back when, you know, Molly Shannon and Ana Gasteyer were still around). It may not be high art, but it was funny - and it's probably one of Baldwin's most famous contributions to SNL lore. Here's the first one (he would return, naturally, with Schweddy Wieners):

And now, a decade later, it's a Ben and Jerry's ice cream flavor.

"Schweddy Balls" is "vanilla ice cream with a hint of rum and is loaded with fudge covered balls and milk chocolate malt balls." Sounds....awesome? Yeah, it kinda does.

The flavor will only be available for a limited time. Sadly, this means that South Park's Chef and his "chocolate salty balls" will likely get pushed to the sidelines forever.

Meanwhile, this could inspire a whole line of Baldwin cuisine. Pleasepleaseplease someone make a "Rick Corman" cocktail mix...
