Monday Watch List: Life's Wreckage

Welcome to Watch List, where we identify five things on TV to watch while you stay at home and watch the NFL lockout finally come to an end. Hooray for America! LET’S GO!

THERE’S SOMETHING WRONG WITH AUNT DIANE – 9:00PM (HBO) Another summer Monday, another gripping HBO documentary. In 2009, a woman named Diane Schuler deliberately drove on the wrong side of the Taconic State Parkway in New York, smashing into another car in a fiery wreck that killed eight people, including Schuler, her daughter, her three nieces, and three people in the other car. It’s one of the most horrifying vehicular murder/suicides in history, and tonight HBO hopes to shed a bit of light on what made Schuler go on her fateful drive. Don’t expect any ironclad answers. ANTICIPATION: SAD!

HOARDERS – 9:00PM (A&E) And tonight’s hoarding item of choice is… paper! Meet a hoarder whose massive collection of paper represents the state’s worst fire hazard. I’m disgusted with these paper hoarders. The idea that people would just leave old paper lying around… (looks at own desk)… ah well, perhaps I’m being too prejudgmental. ANTICIPATION: DEAD TREES!

ANTHONY BOURDAIN: NO RESERVATIONS – 9:00PM (Travel Channel) Tony is in Naples tonight, and he’s warned everyone on Twitter that tonight’s episode constitutes serious food porn. Do not watch if hungry. ANTICIPATION: PIZZA AND STUFF!

THE BACHELORETTE – 8:00PM (ABC) We’re down to the final three, with Ashley and the guys heading to Fiji for some fun in the sun. And again I express my incredible dismay that such gorgeous travel plans are wasted on the likes of “Bachelorette” contestants. I would appreciate you more, Fiji! Just give me a chance! ANTICIPATION: UNFAIR!

THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW YORK CITY – 10:00PM (Bravo – an NBC/Universal network) Part 1 of the reunion. It last 90 freakin’ minutes. They should just put these women on a 24-hour security monitor already. ANTICIPATION: UNFAIR!
