Courtney Love Is Facing Eviction from NYC Townhouse

After an epic housing hunt that brought rocker Courtney Love all over Manhattan, she finally settled on a $27,000 per month apartment located 250 West 10th Street earlier this year. Unfortunately, Love's ten-month lease on the chic residence is far from up and the Hole front woman is facing eviction by owner of the townhouse Donna Lyon.

Love has reportedly damaged the 1827 townhouse and is $54,000 behind on the $324,000 annual rent. Owner Lyon tells the Post, “Courtney has wallpapered and painted a large portion of the property without my consent. I learned about this when I wanted to sell the house and had photographs taken. They sent me the brochure and I said, ‘This can’t be my property.’ I came to New York to see it and I was horrified by what she had done. The walls that had been hand-painted and glazed were ruined, covered in damask wallpaper and ice-blue paint.” The cost for such alleged damage? Up to $100,000. Yikes.
