Reid: Vick Will Start After the Bye Week

Say this about the fourth quarter curb-stomping the Eagles got yesterday: At least it made figuring out who the QB is a little bit easier. Coach Andy Reid said yesterday that Michael Vick will return to the starting lineup against Indianapolis after the bye week.

Pro Football Weekly:

"Michael Vick will return to the starting lineup in Week Nine following the Eagles' bye week, according to head coach Andy Reid."

If the Eagles had held on to win the game against the Titans (instead of giving up 27 points in the fourth, which I found a bit much), maybe Reid would have needed the bye week to ponder keeping Kevin Kolb in the starting lineup. But after letting Kenny Britt get a season’s worth of yardage totals in a half, the QB question is suddenly far, far down on the priority list for these Eagles.

Maybe Vick could, like, play corner instead. Because if Reggie Wayne gets 345 yards and eight TD’s in two weeks, it won’t really matter who’s taking snaps.
