It’s that time of week. Time to man up and make your pick for this week’s game. Get it right, and you’ll be the toast of the town, until a jealous Mississippi State official sells you out to the press and says anyone can have you for the right price. Your reputation will be in tatters. Gambler Of the Year Voters shall shun you. Your girlfriend will angrily confront you and demand to know if you’re REALLY the man she came to love. Get it wrong, and you’re just another failed Auburn student. Here we go:
Seven of Nine ESPN Experts: Eagles.
Michael Silver: Eagles.
84% Of Yahoo! Users: Eagles.
Pete Prisco (CBS): Skins. HE’S A REBEL!
AJ Daulerio: Eagles. (“And tell everyone it’s a blowout, please.”) You heard the man. It’s a blowout.
Index Card I Threw Up In The Air With The Name Of Each Team On Either Side, Seeing Which Team Would Land Face Up: Skins (Index Card record: 4-4)
The Wife: Redskins (DC native).
Me: Everything is pointing to the Eagles for this. Then again, that’s precisely how it felt the last time these two teams met this season. Then Vick got hurt and the Eagles were finished off by Washington in a listless game that constituted weak revenge for Donovan McNabb. McNabb and the Skins have been through a hellish bye week that included endless questions about the QB’s benching and all the reasons behind it. I dunno. I’ll take the home team in diasarray. Just seems like an inevitable twist. SKINS 18, EAGLES 12.
