Sticking With Vick

Embattled coach backs embattled QB as the Birds prepare for Monday Night Football

Eagles head coach Andy Reid confirmed what pretty much everyone already knew when he announced Wednesday that Michael Vick would be under center for the Eagles when they take on the Saints on Monday Night Football.

With the Eagles playing a day later, Reid and Vick are not scheduled to address the media again until Thursday.

Vick, the four-time Pro Bowl quarterback, has struggled this season -- especially during the Eagles (3-4) current three-game losing streak.

Reid didn't endorse Vick after Sunday's 30-17 loss to Atlanta, saying he's going to evaluate all his starters. Vick then said he would support whatever decision Reid makes.

That led to speculation Vick's days were numbered. But Reid is sticking with Vick over unproven rookie Nick Foles.

If the Eagles lose to the Saints that could all change.
